INHABITANTS OF A PLACE

As suggested by John Donne, "No man is an island". People are often inextricably connected to the places they have inhabited. Whether in their speech, mannerisms, actions or demeanor, place leaves its mark. Place is the hard outlines of the land and the structures built on the land. It is also the people that inhabitant that place and live and die there. Photographs can capture place, photographs can capture people. It is a rarer that lens and film manage to record the intersection of the two. This project seeks to visually quantify that relation.
